DeKalb Medical Physicians Group Becomes Title Sponsor for Miller Grove Athletic Department

Miller Grove High School welcomes local Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Augustine Conduah of Stonecrest Orthopedics and Sports Medicine.

Atlanta, GA, August 4, 2014: Sports Image Inc.® in Georgia is proud to announce DeKalb Medical Physicians Group has signed a two-year commitment as title sponsor of the Miller Grove High School basketball organization. Dr. Augustine Conduah, orthopedic surgeon at DeKalb Medical Physicians Group Stonecrest Orthopedics and Sports Medicine (located across from the Mall at Stonecrest in Lithonia, GA), is personally leading the charge for Miller Grove High School and will be the primary physician for the Miller Grove basketball team as well as the high school.

Darren Miller, of the DeKalb Medical Marketing team, was kind enough to provide an interview to ANIPOTS on the topic. He explains, “We are extremely excited about being a part of the Miller Grove team. Coach Sharman White has created an environment of success within the athletic department at Miller Grove and has shown true dedication to his students and their families. Dr. Conduah and the physicians of the DeKalb Medical Physicians Group feel that these young men and women deserve the absolute best medical care available to them. We look forward to being the Official Medical Partner of Miller Grove High School and to fostering a culture of health and wellness within the student body and the community.”

The Miller Grove Wolverines lead by Coach Sharman White, (Voted the “National High School Basketball Coach of the Year” by USA Today) became the only high school basketball team in the state of Georgia to win 6 consecutive State Championships. Sharman White has set a winning precedent from day one and the teams have bought in to it every year. Coach White is very excited about the new partnership with DeKalb Medical Physicians Group. This has been the missing piece for this great championship program. Coach White explains “We are ecstatic about forming this partnership with one of the premier health organizations in the country. Having the support of Dekalb Medical is a big win for our student-athletes, parents, and community. It is a great testimony to the fact that it takes a village and with Dekalb Medical partnering with us, it is evident that they have made a commitment to our community. We could not be more excited having them on board.” Denise Press Release

DeKalb Medical Physicians Group is part of Atlanta’s DeKalb Medical network of healthcare services. This means that patients are able to promptly obtain a full range of medical services and diagnostic tests, including X-rays, CT scans, MRI and ultrasound at any of the DeKalb Medical facilities that are most convenient.

Sports Image® Welcomes New Franchise in Pennsylvania

Dayton, OH – March 2014 – Sports Image®, a leader in the high school and youth sports marketing industry, has awarded a Sports Marketing Franchise to John & Kathy Hornby in the Philadelphia, PA area. Sports Image® now has “local ownership” in 13 different states in just its first four years of franchising to help schools and organizations increase their revenue streams and get new equipment.

“After spending more than 20 years in the corporate world, I was able to take advantage of an opportunity to leave it behind and start my own business in 2012,” stated Mr. Hornby. “As I moved forward with the business, I quickly recognized that a significant opportunity existed to help Schools, Teams, Leagues, Sports Booster and other organizations with a wide variety of fund raising initiatives. As I searched for new solutions and innovative revenue streams, I came across Sports Image® and I knew that it was an opportunity that I needed to look into further.”

Since 2002, Sports Image® has helped schools and organizations obtain state-of-the-art equipment and much needed revenue for their athletic programs as budgets continue to dry up nationwide. The program has zero cost to the schools and organizations. In addition, Sports Image® also focuses on Event Management and runs one of the most recognized high school basketball events in the nation. Through Sports Image’s 5 different revenue opportunities and by leveraging existing relationships, they have given over $1,000,000 in cash and over $15,000,000 in equipment to schools and organizations throughout the United States and in Canada.

We are very excited to have The Hornby’s on our team,” stated Eric Horstman, President of Sports Image®. “Their business experience, creative thinking and attention to detail make a great fit with Sports Image® and our mission to help schools and other grassroots organizations.”

“As a former high school athlete and youth lacrosse coach, and being actively involved in the local high school sports community, I’ve developed a strong appreciation and passion for the life skills and experiences that are gained and developed through participation in sports,” stated Mr. Hornby. “Unfortunately, schools and athletic programs across the country are facing significant pressure due to budget cuts. These cuts are a serious threat to some sports programs and have a direct impact on the student-athletes, their families and their communities. I’m excited to leverage the strength and support of Sports Image® and I look forward to executing a proven game plan that will serve the needs of youth & interscholastic sports programs and other organizations throughout the Delaware Valley area.”

“Sports Image® is the first national franchise to market through youth sports.  We’ve been helping schools, clubs, community Parks and Recs and other youth organizations offset budget constraints for over 10 years. In late 2009 we franchised our organization to put vested business owners on the ground floor in local markets across the country,” said Mr. Horstman.  “We now have many franchisees across the nation helping individual schools and organizations achieve their goals.

Tom Carmichael of Sports Image® is making major headway with George Mason High School (VA).  Through his partnership with the school, Tom will be securing a number of sponsorships, including a naming rights sponsorship opportunity of the fields, to generate revenue toward the organization.  His goal is to offset the cost of their recent baseball and softball field lighting project.  The overall project cost of installing these new lights on the fields ran upwards of $359,000, which the school has been working to pay off.  Thanks to Sports Image, Tom has been working alongside the school’s booster efforts and contracting sponsors to help them pay off the equipment and enjoy their amazing new lights!

Sports Image® Welcomes New Franchise in Georgia

Dayton, OH – January 2014 – Sports Image®, a leader in the high school and youth sports marketing industry, has awarded a Sports Marketing Franchise to Art & Denise Picus in the state of Georgia. Sports Image® now has “local ownership” in 13 different states in just its first four years of franchising to help schools and organizations increase their revenue streams and get new equipment.

“We have wanted to do something which involved sports and helping schools, having been part of our own children’s high sports organizations. As a participant of my children’s athletic programs and Vice President of the Swim Team Booster Board, I can empathize the great need for financial support, which has typically impacted the athlete’s families,” stated Mrs. Picus. “There is an urgent need for that support outside of the limited financial budgets that schools currently have.”

Since 2002, Sports Image® has helped schools and organizations obtain state-of-the-art equipment and much needed revenue for their athletic programs as budgets continue to dry up nationwide. The program has zero cost to the schools and organizations. Through Sports Image’s 5 different revenue opportunities and by leveraging existing relationships, they have given over $1,000,000 in cash and over $15,000,000 in equipment to schools and organizations throughout the United States and in Canada.

We are very excited to have Art and Denise on our team,” stated Eric Horstman, President of Sports Image®. “Their business experience, connections and contagious energy make a great fit with Sports Image® and our mission to help schools and other grassroots organizations.”

“Sports Image® was exactly what we were looking for,” stated Mrs. Picus.  “We think it’s very important to support school athletic programs and instill sports in the lives of children.   We, ourselves, come from high school sports and are still involved athletes today.  The “love of sports” starts with our young people and needs to be nurtured.”

“Sports Image® is the first national franchise to market through youth sports.  We’ve been helping schools, clubs, community Parks and Recs and other youth organizations offset budget constraints for over 10 years. In July 2009 we franchised our organization to put vested business owners on the ground floor in local markets across the country,” said Mr. Horstman.  “We now have many franchisees across the nation helping individual schools and organizations achieve their goals.”
