Sports Image® Welcomes New Franchise in North Carolina

Dayton, OH – August 2015 – Sports Image®, a leader in the high school and youth sports marketing industry, has awarded a Sports Marketing Franchise to the partnership of Mr. Tim Clougherty and Mr. Keith Fogleman in the Raleigh, NC area. Sports Image® now has local ownership in 11 different states to help schools and organizations increase their revenue streams and get new equipment as the struggle for funding their athletic departments continues.

“Having played and officiated high school sports in North Carolina and having three children that are also involved in youth sports I realize how much sports builds character and how important it is for these organizations to not only exist but thrive,” said Mr. Clougherty. “Both Keith and I have officiated NCAA division 1 basketball for over 15 years and you see some of the inventive ways that College institutions raise money through corporate and individual sponsorships. It only makes sense that high schools and other organizations tap into that market. We look forward to helping institutions in our area do just that.”

Since 2002, Sports Image® has helped schools and organizations obtain state-of-the-art equipment and much needed revenue for their athletic programs as budgets continue to dry up nationwide. The program has zero cost to the schools and organizations. In addition, Sports Image® also focuses on Event Management and runs one of the most recognized high school basketball events in the nation. Through Sports Image’s ‘5 different revenue opportunities’ and by leveraging existing relationships, they have given over $1,000,000 in cash and over $15,000,000 in equipment to schools and organizations throughout the United States and in Canada.

“With their long history of involvement in sports by both of these gentlemen, we are very fortunate and excited to have them now as part of our team,” stated Eric Horstman, President of Sports Image®. “Their passion for sports and in helping communities and their networking circles make a great addition to Sports Image® and our mission to help schools and other grassroots organizations.”

“Speaking with friends who are either high school coaches or athletic directors you quickly realize how much they struggle to make ends meet and how much a company like Sports Image® can make a difference,’ stated Mr. Fogleman. “The more I researched what Sports Image® was doing across the country to help schools and organizations get either extra funding or the equipment they needed to survive, the more I knew it was something I wanted to be a part of.”

“Sports Image® is the first national franchise to market through youth sports. We’ve been helping schools, clubs, community Parks and Recs and other youth organizations offset budget constraints for over 10 years. In late 2009 we franchised our organization to put vested business owners on the ground floor in local markets across the country,” said Mr. Horstman. “We now have franchisees across the nation helping individual schools and organizations achieve their goals.”

Coaches Suspended For Purposely Losing Tournament

MURFREESBORO – Coaching responsibilities of two Rutherford County girls basketball coaches were suspended Wednesday, four days after their teams purposely tried to lose a district tournament consolation game.

“Good athletic coaches possess skills that maximize the players’ skills, strategize winning game plans, instill self-discipline and impart the value of teamwork to reach a common goal,” Rutherford County Schools director Don Odom said in a release. “Players also learn skills that build integrity and character, primarily by how their coach models before them. In these last two areas, we failed last Saturday evening.”
