McHenry High School Poms and Local Maaco Store Team Up to Raise Funds with Car Wash, Saturday, July 30th

McHenry, Illinois– The McHenry High School Pom Squad is raising some much needed funds by partnering up with the McHenry Maaco Collision Repair & Auto Painting for a car wash on Saturday, July 30th from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

The car wash will take place in the parking lot of the local Maaco at 2826 Barney Court, McHenry, IL 60051 (just north of Culver’s (Rt 120) under the McHenry water tower).

The Pom squad will be able to keep all the money raised from each car wash. Additionally, Tony Licocci, owner of the McHenry Maaco, will also donate 10 percent of painting services estimated or appointed during the event.

Maaco recently partnered with Sports Image at select shops throughout the country to help raise revenue for local high schools. Scott King, owner of Sports Image Northern Illinois, has worked with Tony Licocci, owner of McHenry Maaco, and Natalie Simek, coach of McHenry High School Poms, to coordinate this exciting event.

Please come out and show your support for this important project.

Wauconda High School Raising Funds for a New Scoreboard at the Athletic Field

Wauconda, Illinois– Wauconda High School will soon be the recipient of a brand-new scoreboard at Ray Porten Athletic field. The scoreboard will be state-of-the-art and the school will get it absolutely FREE without any work or financial obligation on behalf of the school.

The scoreboard project started as an agreement between the high school Athletic Director, James Vanfleet and Sports Image®. Sports Image® is responsible for securing advertising around the scoreboard.  In years to come, the school will receive revenue for their athletic programs as a result of future sponsorships on the scoreboard.

“This is a great opportunity for both Wauconda High School and local/regional businesses,” said Scott King, Owner, Sports Image® Northern Illinois. “The school is going to get a very high quality product and revenue for their athletic department whereas the sponsor will receive great exposure at the sporting events and the knowledge that they helped their local high school. The reduction in state educational budgets has made it possible for local/regional businesses to truly partner with Wauconda High School.”

“By working together with our business community and Sports Image we hope to make this wonderful upgrade to our main athletic field as soon as possible,” says James Vanfleet, Athletic Director at Wauconda High School.
